Services
As part of the £9.1m Guildford STW Relocation scheme, we
are delivering 1.5km of 1500mm ID microtunnelling across
six sites, including three drive and three reception shafts.
The design and construction of 1375m of 1500mm ID
tunnel, split over five drives of varying length. these were
constructed using a combination of Mirco Tunnel Boring
Machine and hand dig shield, with pipe jacking frame. One
of the drives was complete on a curve, and intermediate
jacking points were used for the longer drives.
Operating in a congested urban environment with
active Thames Water assets, our team safely advanced
TBM drives beneath critical infrastructure - including
live treatment works, a council recycling centre, and
commercial properties - while maintaining uninterrupted
service, minimal settlement, and full environmental
compliance.
