several advantages, including:
» Zero local emissions during operation
» Reduced noise levels
» Lower fuel consumption
» Reduced maintenance requirements
At the Vertikal Days exhibition on 9-10 September,
customers were given a live demonstration of
HookCam, allowing them to see the system in action
and discuss how it can improve site safety and
operational e昀케ciency.
Exclusive to NRC, HookCam is a market-leading
solution, o昀昀ering advanced technical capability and
functionality.
NRC is also evaluating electric crawler cranes as part
of its commitment to supporting major infrastructure
schemes, including the Lower Thames Crossing and
Net Zero Teesside projects.
The introduction of electric lifting equipment
represents a signi昀椀cant step forward for the industry
and will provide customers with more options for
reducing emissions on site.

These bene昀椀ts also help customers meet increasingly
important carbon reduction and ESG objectives.
On the Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture Project, NRC
has been trialling electric cranes in demanding site
conditions, gathering valuable data on performance,
utilisation, charging requirements and infrastructure
needs. The 昀椀ndings will help shape future 昀氀eet
investment decisions.
Beyond battery-powered equipment, NRC continues
to explore emerging technologies including hydrogen,
e-methanol, CNG-powered solutions and mobile
charging systems.
Through these initiatives, NRC is building a cleaner,
smarter and more sustainable 昀氀eet while maintaining
the high levels of performance its customers expect.
